Continuation from before, I found a article which describes
in detail how mother with infants are filling bottles with Mountain Dew, and
when doctors have examined the children they have a unfathomable amount of
cavities. I remember if I had one cavity
it was a travesty, a two-year old was examined and was found to have eleven
cavities. This does not just go away at
older ages, an 11-year old boy when asked about brushing said he did not brush
his teeth for over two years because they hurt so bad. The more I dive into the topic the worse it
seems to get.
This is a devastating fact. I cannot imagine all of the pain these kids are going through for something as ridiculous as drinking Mountain Dew. I would not think that Mountain Dew would be able to be addicting to certain people. A two year old cannot even brush his teeth on his own and already has eleven cavities. It is sad because these people teethes are going to hurt them for the rest of their lives, and most of them will not have a full mouth of teeth when they are older. It is a disturbing to think of all of these problems that these people will be going through. I really cannot believe Mountain Dew is the cause for all of this.
ReplyDeleteI like how you seem to be getting into our topic. The tooth decay and mountain dew is just a minor blemish in the big picture of the Appalachia children. It is horrible the things that these children go through. They are born into these problems just like the kids who are born in Uganda.
